Patients enjoy a comfortable, single location that can attend to nearly every dental need. Some of the more advanced options include…

Cone Beam 3D imaging provides an advanced system that captures clear, concise views in one pass around the patient. These images are ideal for:

• assessment of the jaws (for implant placement)
• evaluation of the TMJ (jaw joints)
• review of airway passages
• views of bone structure, teeth and facial structures, including wisdom teeth
• revealing infections, cysts, or tumors
• intricate view of tooth roots for optimal diagnosis and root canal treatment

Through these images, we can often detect the root cause of a pain that can’t be seen on conventional x-rays, minimize treatment and even eliminate the need for additional x-rays.

The BioPak system records the function and congruity of the upper and lower jaw, jaw joints, and associated muscles, which aids in proper diagnosis and treatment planning for TMJ dysfunction, sleep disorders and craniofacial pain. It is also used to evaluate patients for restorative, orthodontic, denture, implant and ‘bite’ reconstruction.

TEKSCAN (T-Scan™) is the only technology that shows measured forces and timing of when teeth (during chewing, speaking, etc.) surfaces coming together. This technology can pinpoint the true occlusal stability of various interactions of the bite.

The T-Scan technology:
• Finds problem areas associated with facial pain and tooth sensitivity
• Enhances longevity of crowns, bridges, and veneers
• Optimizes implant placement
• Screens patients for balanced occlusion and tracks throughout treatment
• Reduces repeat visits

Dental Laser technology eliminates or greatly minimizes bleeding during procedures, reduces numbing requirements, removes bacteria and easily uncovers gum tissue where implants have been placed. Additionally, our laser can quickly repair oral ulcers and beautifully recontour or repair gum tissue with a precision line.

Because the Laser seals tissue as it goes, this means patient comfort is enhanced and healing time is faster.

Medit i700 Digital Scanner is a hand-held piece that captures the complete structures inside the mouth, such as gum contours and tooth positions. Using a high-definition, 3D-in-motion video camera, this information is sent to a computer to record. The i700 views allow us to manipulate an image, rotate it, pan around it, zoom in or out, move from arch to arch, and more. The information is highly beneficial in preparation of crowns and bridges, orthodontics, nightguards, dentures, dental implants, and sleep apnea devices. This scanner also helps in providing information to dental laboratories.

Patients especially like that the scanner eliminates the goopy, bulky trays used to take impressions, providing more accuracy in a comfortable, fast process. Patients also appreciate having the digital views available to make informed decisions regarding recommended treatment.

Dr. Salim states, “The entire environment Dr. Barbat has created for her patients provides one office where all dental needs can be met, with a comfortable experience for every visit. This is precisely what I feel is the most effective care for patients, with dental oversight by one team. I am looking forward to getting to know the many smiles who know us for our high standards of care and comfort.”
