Amanda – Registered Dental Hygienist

Amanda has spent 12 years in dentistry, with the past four enriching our team. She is a registered member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) and excels in community service and patient education. When she’s not helping patients achieve healthier smiles, she enjoys nature walks and spending quality time with her daughter.

Allison – Dental Hygienist

Allison has been in dentistry for eight years after studying at Baker College. Her passion lies in providing personalized care to every patient. She also loves educating patients on the importance of good dental care. When she’s not in the office, Allison enjoys disc golfing, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Chris.

Anna – Registered Dental Assistant

With an incredible 36 years of experience in dentistry and 26 years with us, Anna is a cornerstone of our team. She finds great fulfillment in helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles with personalized dental care. Anna enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family in her free time.

Doreen – Hygiene Coordinator/Front Desk Coordinator

Doreen has been part of our team for 20 of her 23 years in dentistry. Known for her warm smile, she ensures our patients feel welcome and cared for. She forges genuine relationships with patients through her compassionate and committed approach to dental care. Outside the office, she loves all things Disney, traveling, and spending time with her kids and grandsons.

Mia – Front Desk Coordinator

With six years of experience in the dental field, Mia loves assisting patients on their journey to better oral and overall health. Her warm and genuine smile instantly makes patients feel at ease when they enter our office. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and reading.

Michelle – Insurance Coordinator

Michelle has 29 years of experience in dentistry, 16 of which have been at our practice. Her previous roles include dental assistant and front desk coordinator. Michelle loves helping patients and is your go-to person when you need help navigating your dental insurance. When she’s not working, Michelle enjoys traveling.

Beckie – Office Manager

A true veteran in the field—Beckie has 46 years of experience in dentistry and has been with us since 1998. Beckie is the heart of our practice, always eager to lend a hand and ensure everything runs smoothly. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, and dabbling in estate sale marketing.

Cathy – Front Office Coordinator

Another veteran! With 50 years of experience in dentistry and 21 years at our practice, Cathy Ann has built a strong rapport with patients through her warmth and friendliness. Cathy goes above and beyond to create a positive and reassuring experience for every patient. Outside work, she enjoys outdoor adventures, including bike riding, nature walks, and collecting heart-shaped rocks. She also relishes spending quality time with loved ones.

Renee – Dental Assistant

Renee has 16 years of experience in dentistry and has been with us for six years. A Bryman College graduate, she is passionate about helping patients achieve confident, healthy smiles. She gardens, enjoys music, and bonds with her little dog in her free time.

Jessica – Dental Assistant

With 15 years in dentistry and 13 years at our practice, Jessica is a tech-savvy team member. She trains her colleagues in neuromuscular dentistry and advanced dental technology, including cone beam imaging and 3D printing. She is committed to providing stress-free dental care and enjoys family time outside work.

Venus – Financial Coordinator

Venus brings over 30 years of dental administration experience to our team. She combines her expertise in administration and dentistry to build strong patient relationships. In her spare time, Venus enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.

Joe—Director, Operations / TMJ Therapy

After serving in the Canadian Armed Forces and advancing to Full Lieutenant, Joe earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. In 1990, he relocated to Michigan, where he has played a pivotal role in managing the operations of Ban R. Barbat DDS. His remarkable contributions to the practice include designing and constructing the state-of-the-art facility you enjoy today.

Joe is passionate about the latest advancements in dental technology to elevate patient experience and satisfaction. He has earned over 240 hours of advanced training in TMJ disorders and treatment options, ensuring patients receive top-tier care. His expertise extends to integrating diagnostic technology and innovative treatment protocols for TMJ therapy. Additionally, his knowledge supports therapies for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring, further enhancing patient care.

Joe is married to Dr. Ban Barbat and has two sons.
