After completing studies at Wayne State University (Detroit), Dr. Ban Barbat was accepted at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) School of Dentistry. There, she was awarded top ranking in comprehensive care as well as crown and bridge procedures. In 1993, she received a doctorate in dentistry and began a one-year residency. She began dental practice in Shelby Township in 1994 and formed her own private practice three years later.
Particular areas of emphasis in her practice are enabling patients to achieve a healthy, confident smile through proactive measures.
Dr. Barbat holds Fellowship status in the Las Vegas Institute For Advanced Dental Studies and is a member of the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also personally supportive of the community for the betterment of its citizens.
Actively involved in continuing education in all areas of dentistry, Dr. Barbat has completed advanced training in crowns, bridges, dental implant restorations, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, bite disorders (including TMJ), Sleep Apnea and oral sedation.
Dr. Barbat is supported by staff members who share her commitment to exceptional patient care. Together, they strive to render the finest in skills, technology, and overall satisfaction for each individual's need.
Dr. Barbat is actively involved in the community through various levels of support, and even sponsors an annual $1000 scholarship to help a freshman college student's first year expenses.
