“I always appreciate receiving kind words from my patients. I wanted to share a recent note that was especially touching.”
Dr. Barbat,
I just want to express my sincere appreciation I have for you and your staff.
From the first appointment when I met with you, I felt comfortable in discussing my anxieties and previous “bad experiences”. You listened to me and understood the fears I had and assured me you would be able to work with me. I did not expect the entire procedure to take as long as it did, but I trusted your judgment and now can understand that it is something that does take time to be completed effectively.
I felt the same confidence with your entire staff that I felt with you. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, patience, and the kindness that everyone demonstrated. It began with Kathy greeting me the first time, talking to yourself, working with Debbie regarding the financial details, the girls who handled the check outs, and every one of the fine associates you have on your entire staff that completed the procedures.
I am now able to eat much more comfortably, but most of all, I have the confidence back with my smile.
I no longer have the anxieties as I did before about the visits to the office. Thank you again!
Sincerely
Joan Dreyer

She began dental practice in Shelby Township in 1994 and formed her own private practice three years later.

Additionally, her dental practice features some of the most advanced technology and comfort options available.

Dr. Barbat holds Fellowship status in the renowned LVI Institute For Advanced Dental Studies and is a member of the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics and the Academy of General Dentistry. Through over 300 hours of extensive training, she has also achieved the designation of a Neuromuscular Dentist.

Dr. Barbat shares her passion for care.

Neuromuscular Dentistry is based on the understanding that all crainio-facial structures must work harmoniously during chewing, speaking, and in resting positions. Because disharmony in one area can be far-reaching, the results can lead to costly repairs and painful problems, including frequent headaches and migraines.

A Neuromuscular Dentist has a unique understanding of the disruptions to crainio-facial interactions. This area of dentistry enables these dentists to incorporate neuromuscular considerations into dental treatment or correct associated problems that have existed for years.

In her Shelby Twp dental office, Dr. Barbat is supported by staff members who share her commitment to exceptional patient care. Much of her staff have been with her for well over ten years.

Dr. Barbat is also an active supporter of the community in numerous ways, including Shelby Parks & Recreation program sponsorships, annual scholarships for local students pursuing health-related careers and donations to several local charities. Her strong commitment to family, patients, staff and her community truly come from the heart.
