Beautiful Smiles In Just One or Two Appointments

added on: March 16, 2021

A neighbor recently had an entry way and adjoining living area repainted. With a new coat of paint, the entire area had a significantly improved appearance.

Sometimes, small changes can make a dramatic difference. In our Shelby Township dental office, we often find that is true for smile enhancement.

In some cases, a smile can be more attractive by whitening brown or yellowed teeth. In others, just four or six porcelain veneers may provide a smile that is more balanced and appealing.

For a full smile of beautiful teeth that are custom-designed to complement facial features, we often place a combination of crowns and veneers for beauty and longevity.

Beautiful smiles are rarely something people are born with. As teens, some individuals were fortunate enough to have braces that moved teeth into proper position early in life. This gave these adolescents a ‘leg up’ so they could go into adulthood with teeth that were properly aligned.

Yet, even adults who had braces face challenges as they age when it comes to smiles. Over time, once-straight teeth can shift. Misaligned teeth can lead to worn teeth that results from clenching or grinding at night. This can also leave teeth more susceptible to breaks, chips, and fractures.

As adults age, even more challenges occur in having a smile of straight, beautiful teeth. Years of use place teeth at a higher risk for tooth loss due to decay, a fracture that breaks below the gum line, or gum disease. Bright, gleaming smiles become dulled by yellowing or brown stains due to years of certain foods and beverages (such as coffee, red wine, etc.).

As a Shelby Township dentist for over 20 years, I’ve been committed to the health AND appearance of our patients’ smiles. This is because I’ve seen how significantly an unappealing smile can make an individual feel. These patients tend to smile less often or shield their smile with a hand. Men sometimes grow long, bushy mustaches to cover over flawed teeth.

Yet, I’ve also witnessed the dramatic effect that cosmetic dentistry can have on an individual. The transformation of my patients in improved facial appearance is just one aspect of their overall results. Most of them smile more often, become more social, have higher self-esteem and self-confidence, and are more outgoing.

For such a small area of our overall human structure, a smile has tremendous impact on each individual, from the inside out.

Let’s look at WHY I feel I am your wisest choice when it comes to choosing a cosmetic dentist.

First, my advanced training and skills were acquired through intensive training at one of the most prestigious dental institutes in the world. LVI has a global reputation for incorporating proper alignment with exceptional esthetic results. This means that our patients receive treatment that protects their dental wellness in addition to a look and feel that is custom-tailored for a flattering smile.

I also must humbly acknowledge that I have a number of patients who drive in from long distances or fly into the Detroit area from out-of-state. These individuals not only have beautiful smiles that have made a positive difference in their lives, their local general dentists have been highly complimentary of the work they’ve had done.

Additionally, we utilize one of the finest dental labs in the country. Yes, we could offer cheap crowns and veneers by using another lab. But, that’s not what I would be comfortable with and wouldn’t want for myself. I’m certainly not about to put the cheaper versions in the mouths of my patients.

We most often use porcelain for crowns and veneers. Porcelain is the closest thing to natural teeth and resists staining better than other materials. It also has a natural sheen and opacity. This means you’ll never have to worry about a smile that “looks like dental work” was done.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our talented staff members. Each carries forth a commitment of care and compassion that is, in my opinion, exemplary. Their advanced skills and training are top notch. Here, our patients are treated with respect and with a gentle touch. Our entire team customizes treatment according to that patient’s needs and desires. Too, our patients know us for our ethical treatment – we never over-treat or under-treat.

The compilation of all this is a smile that enables patients to feel thrilled with the look, feel and function of their smiles! Often, a beautiful, new smile can be provided in just two visits, or even one for some of our procedures such as in-office Zoom 2 In-Office Whitening.

For many adults, the only hold back on having a smile makeover is in the financial aspects. However, we offer several easy payment plans, most with no down payment required and interest-free monthly payments. Our Financial Coordinator has been with me for nearly 20 years and has a reputation for creating payment plans that fit most budgets without the strain some people perceive will be the case.

Your smile is an asset to your appearance, personality and overall mood. If you have read my prior blogs, you likely read where research has shown that the act of smiling causes “happy” chemicals to be released by the brain. So, we get a natural boost to our day, just by smiling! When you know your smile is at its best, it’s easy to do so!

To discuss your smile goals and potential treatment, time frame, comfort options (including Oral and IV Sedation) and cost, call 586-739-2155 or tap here to arrange a free consultation appointment.
