ALEXANDRA KORTE, an Eisenhower High School graduate, excels both academically and athletically. A knee injury led her to consider a career in medicine with the desire to “put quality healthcare in the hands of all people,” that is “affordable, accessible, and supportive.” She will be attending Michigan State University this fall to begin her career path to become an Osteopathic doctor.
Additionally, Alexandra wishes to expand her knowledge in “computational biology” to provide people with a broader understanding of their own genome for more-involved self-care.
For over 25 years, Dr. Ban Barbat’s dental office has been a generous supporter of the Macomb County community. In addition to annual scholarships and other support, her office is a consistent sponsor of Shelby Parks & Recreation department’s activities and events.

She earned her doctorate from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she excelled in comprehensive care and crown and bridge procedures. Dr. Barbat is a Fellow at the LVI Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and a member of the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics and the Academy of General Dentistry.
